TRADA and Carpenter Oak & Woodland are staging aseminar to explain how to design an efficient and cost effective building using green oak.

Green oak is a sustainable material and has formed thestructure of many historic buildings and offers tremendous potential for creating modern buildings of outstanding beauty.

The inspirational and informative seminar is aimed atanyone interested in developing their understanding of green timber frame as a construction method.

As an extra benefit, every delegate will receive a FREEcopy of TRADA’s publication ‘Green Oak in Construction’ along with a booklet on ‘Indicative Interface Detailing’ from Carpenter Oak and Woodland.

The seminar will be held in the framing yards ofCarpenter Oak & Woodland and will be delivered by their commercial director, Andrew Parker.

It is an afternoon event and will start with a buffetlunch followed by a seminar and a tour of the framing yard. The tour will give you the opportunity to see first hand how frames are fabricated and talk to experienced framers about the manufacturing and erection processes.
