Beams and Structural Timber. E.G. Johnstone & Co cut structural timbers for building and construction and for agricultural uses.
This includes green oak beams for oak frame houses as well as sawn
larch for joists or roof sections in all types of building.
Cladding and Shingles. They supply
timber cladding and shingles in larch, Douglas fir, and oak. The
cladding is available in a various sizes and profiles. They supplied
shingles for the new Osprey Centre at Loch Garten and for the roof of
the David Douglas Pavilion at Pitlochry. The shingles measure 18 inches
(450mm) long by 6 inches (150mm) wide, tapering from of an inch (20mm)
to less than a quarter inch (5mm).
Garden Sheds. E.G. Johnstone
manufacture solid, long-lasting garden sheds from local timber. They
also have a sawmill with timber treatment facilities and are in the
process of converting from CCA treatment to C60 treatment in line with
current legislation.
Agricultural and Fencing Material. They supply sawn timber, stobs, rails and other fencing materials for domestic and agricultural use. |
