Lothian Trees & Timber, Scotland - Hardwood Sawmill Supplying Oak, Elm, Beech, Ash, Sycamore, a Full Machining Service as well as Wooden Flooring, Skirting and Architraves for Self Build Projects, Beams & Construction Timbers

Sawn Timber. Lothian Trees & Timber is a sawmill that specializes in the cutting and kiln drying of Scottish hardwoods for interior joinery and cabinet making. All their logs are bought locally, although their customers are spread throughout the UK, from the far north of Scotland to Cornwall in the south-west of England.

Species stocked include elm, ash, beech, sycamore, and oak. Thicknesses sawn are 27mm, 38mm, 54mm and some 80mm. Other hardwoods species, such as cherry and sweet chestnut, are available from time to time. A friendly, knowledgeable staff will be glad to discuss your timber requirements with you.

Tone Woods. Lothian Trees and Timber stock a full range of rippled sycamore for the construction of violins and other musical instruments. All timber is quarter sawn and seasoned from between 5 and 20 years.

Machining Service. This mill also provide a full machining service, cutting and planing their own wood to size for customers. Small and large orders catered for.

Hardwood Flooring and Interior Joinery. Lothian Trees and Timber supply interior joinery products to order for trade and self build customers, including Scottish hardwood flooring in oak, elm and ash, skirting and architraves. Laying of the floors is subcontracted to one of several fitters who have worked with the company for a number of years.

Beams and Construction Timber. Lothian Trees and Timber specialise in the sawing of green oak beams for use in construction. All sizes of order catered for, from single lintels to complete frames.
