ASHS members supply Scottish wooden flooring, green oak beams, cladding and construction timbers, timber cladding, and sawn hardwood for joinery and furniture making. They also make furniture from Scottish wood, including oak kitchen tables, sleigh beds, wooden picnic tables and outdoor seating for parks and gardens. Some of our members undertake bespoke interior joinery: making kitchens, wooden worktops, doors, stairs and hardwood mouldings.

Scotland's hardwood can be used in construction projects of all sizes. Some species are known for their strength properties and are ideal for structural use, others are better suited to decorative internal work and furniture making.
