Associate Membership

Many of our Associates are businesses or individuals that are allied or aligned with the timber trade, such as furniture makers, craftspeople, architects, equipment manufacturers, foresters… (the list goes on!).

 

We also have Associate members whose work is outwith the timber industry but are interested in supporting the work of ASHS and becoming a part of our organisation.

ASHS are a small organisation, and we like to know our members. Applications for Associate Membership are reviewed by the ASHS Board – we’ll ask you to provide a bit of information about yourself so that we can understand the reasons you’re interested in joining.

What’s included?

You will be joining a friendly, helpful, and supportive community of likeminded individuals and businesses, who share a passion for working with and raising the profile of Scottish trees and timber.

Access to the ASHS Associate Network.

Access to some ASHS training events and learning visits.

Subscription to the Full Circle journal.

Ability to apply for membership of the Scottish Working Woods Label.

How do ASHS collect their fees?

All of our membership subscriptions are collected via direct debit, managed by GoCardless. This direct debit is set up by new members upon joining (with the assistance of the ASHS co-ordinator).

The ASHS subscription calendar renews on the 4th of April each year. The ASHS co-ordinator will assist new members transition into the ASHS payment plan as they join.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

  • Our Associate Member category is made up of a variety of aligned and allied industry members, as well as individuals who support ASHS’ purpose.

  • Associate Membership is available individuals and businesses that are interested, allied or aligned with the Scottish timber industry.

    Carpenters, furniture makers, craftspeople, architects, foresters, arboriculturalists…

    Individuals who do not work within or alongside Scottish timber or forestry, but who are interested in and passionate about the work of ASHS.
