People make ASHS - we’re owned and managed by our members

At ASHS we are a community of like-minded individuals and businesses, sharing a passion for the betterment of Scotland’s trees, forests and its home-grown timber using industries.

Together we aim to raise the awareness and demand for this fantastic home-grown resource, thereby providing follow on benefits to local communities, economies and the environment.

Interested in becoming a part of ASHS?

Membership is open to anyone that is involved or interested in the Scottish timber, forestry and wood using industries – not just sawmillers!

We bring together members from across the spectrum – from land owners, to foresters, to timber processors and timber users.

We started as a community of sawmillers but have grown to include all the links in this chain of industries, which has both enriched our organisation and become one of our greatest strengths.
