Processing Scottish Sycamore

This video takes you through the steps required in processing Scottish Sycamore: from felling, storing and seasoning, to final processing.

Sycamore is a beautiful and versatile timber, though is is often overlooked in favour of better known hardwoods such as Oak Elm. Sycamore is distinctive for its beautiful and varying figure and finishes well to produce stunning furniture, flooring and other carpentry.
